MERCEDES-BENZ
Grenfell Athletic & Steven Bartlett
Mercedes-Benz Vans wanted to showcase how it keeps businesses and communities moving.
Our task was to develop a campaign that would demonstrate how the brand was supporting entrepreneurs.
Since the Grenfell fire in 2017, many of the survivors have gone on to start up their own businesses.
We teamed up with BBC Dragon’s Den star and podcast host, Steven Bartlett, to give away two eVito Tourer vans for those who needed them in the Grenfell community.
We produced a powerful film which saw the entrepreneur give business coaching sessions when he attended a training session for Grenfell Athletic FC, the club set up for the community following the fire.
The vans will be used by Grenfell entrepreneurs to push their businesses forward, and the football team to transport the players to matches.
The campaign garnered widespread press interest and earned Mercedes-Benz valuable coverage and SEO.
The film, press release and interview time with Steven landed us 42 pieces of coverage across key mainstream titles and 1.2 million online coverage views in key outlets such as The Times, The Sun, Daily Star and The i. 100% of the national coverage secured a DA score of 93%+ and 40 backlinks to the Mercedes-Benz Vans website were achieved.
“Goldbug have been like an extension of our team – they have a can-do attitude and understand the importance of delivering hard on messaging. The quality of the coverage has been outstanding.”
